Mission
Finding work in tech has never been harder. Job seekers are expected to send hundreds of resumes per week to job postings that may not even be real. Interviews are conducted by AI chatbots. Recruiters and hiring managers ghost candidates without feedback. And when a candidate finds work, they’re faced with the fear of mass layoffs, churn, overwork, and surveillance.
In an industry that once celebrated collaboration and diversity of thought, quality and best practices, we now find ourselves pitted against each other in isolation. Above all, we are left to the whims of oligarchs in an unstable market.
Tech Reform Collective seeks to break the isolation, build a body of experts who advocate for each other, and provide each other with what we need to stay relevant and get hired.

What we do
Tech Reform Collective is a regularly-meeting community of tech professionals who:
- Collaborate on portfolio projects
- Give feedback on each others’ resumes
- Conduct mutual mock interviews
- Teach and learn relevant technical skills
- Share our successes and pitfalls in hiring with each other
- Maintain a supportive environment to break the isolation

Purpose
Our aim is simple: to leverage the power of collaboration that has built the industry, for the benefit of tech workers.
We aim help each other in the immediate to find and secure good work. We also strategize long-term on changing the balance of power in the tech industry from a top-heavy, cutthroat arena to a thriving, collaborative field.
